About this package

This panel leaves no common infectious cause untested. Chikungunya, a mosquito-borne virus that causes fever with severe joint pain, is added to dengue, malaria and the two typhoid tests, and the urine routine looks for a urinary source. The liver and kidney function tests assess how the illness is affecting the organs. ESR, CRP and the blood count complete the picture. With 78 parameters, it is meant for severe or puzzling fevers.

The most complete fever evaluation: chikungunya, dengue, malaria, typhoid, liver, kidney, urine, ESR, CRP and blood count.

What does this package cover?

The 11 tests are grouped into 6 health areas:

Blood count & inflammation 3 tests

Red cells, white cells and platelets, blood group, and general inflammation markers.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)

RBC count, haemoglobin, haematocrit, WBC count with differential (neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, basophils), platelet count, and red-cell indices (MCV, MCH, MCHC).

  • CRP (C-Reactive Protein)

The level of C-reactive protein circulating in the blood, which rises within hours of an inflammatory trigger.

  • ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)

The rate at which red blood cells settle in a vertical tube over 60 minutes.

Liver 1 test

Liver enzymes, bilirubin and proteins that show inflammation, fatty liver or reduced liver function.

  • Liver Function Test (LFT)

SGPT/ALT, SGOT/AST, ALP, GGT, total/direct/indirect bilirubin, total protein, albumin, globulin, and the A/G ratio.

Kidney & electrolytes 1 test

How well your kidneys filter waste, plus the salts (electrolytes) they keep in balance.

  • Kidney Function Test

Blood urea/BUN, serum creatinine, eGFR (estimated glomerular filtration rate), uric acid, sodium, potassium, chloride, and calcium.

Infections 3 tests

Screens for common infections such as hepatitis, HIV, syphilis, dengue, malaria and typhoid.

  • Dengue NS1 Antigen

Dengue NS1 Antigen is a blood test. Early dengue detection - positive from day 1 of fever.

  • Malaria Antigen Test

Malaria Antigen Test is a blood test. Rapid detection of malaria parasite antigens.

  • Widal Test (Typhoid)

Widal Test (Typhoid) is a blood test. Screens for typhoid fever antibodies.

Urine 1 test

Routine urine analysis for infection, sugar, protein and kidney clues.

  • Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination

Physical characteristics (colour, clarity), chemical markers (protein, glucose, ketones, blood, pH), and microscopic examination for cells, crystals, casts and bacteria in a urine sample.

Other tests 2 tests

Additional tests included in this package.

  • Chikungunya Combo Rapid Test

Chikungunya Combo Rapid Test is a blood test. Chikungunya Combo Rapid Test looks for evidence of infection - antigen, antibody or genetic material - to help confirm the cause of symptoms and guide treatment.

  • Typhi Dot IgG & IgM

Typhi Dot IgG & IgM is a blood test. Typhi Dot IgG & IgM looks for evidence of infection - antigen, antibody or genetic material - to help confirm the cause of symptoms and guide treatment.

11 tests included (78 parameters)

Why consider this package?

  • 11 laboratory investigations in one booking
  • Looks at 6 health areas together, not in isolation

  • Useful for preventive screening, or when your doctor wants these tests together
  • Pathologist-reviewed reports shared online

Who is this package for?

Designed for

Men & women

Age group

All ages

Purpose

Health screening

People with severe fever and joint pain, those who are very unwell, older adults, and anyone with diabetes or kidney or liver disease.

How often should you get it done?

Only during illness. Most people need it just once, unless their doctor finds something to follow.

Not everyone needs every test. Whether this package suits you depends on your age, symptoms, family history and any ongoing treatment - your doctor can advise.

What can you learn from this package?

The package can provide information about:

  • Blood count & inflammation - Complete Blood Count (CBC), CRP (C-Reactive Protein) and ESR (Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate)
  • Liver - Liver Function Test (LFT)
  • Kidney & electrolytes - Kidney Function Test
  • Infections - Dengue NS1 Antigen, Malaria Antigen Test and Widal Test (Typhoid)
  • Urine - Urine Routine & Microscopic Examination
  • Other tests - Chikungunya Combo Rapid Test and Typhi Dot IgG & IgM

A package gives individual results for each test - it does not diagnose disease by itself.

How to prepare

  • Fast for 8 to 10 hours before the sample - plain water is allowed. An early-morning slot makes this easier.
  • Drink water as usual, and avoid alcohol and strenuous exercise for 24 hours before.
  • Take your regular medicines unless your doctor advises otherwise, and tell the phlebotomist what you take.
  • For the urine test, a first-morning, mid-stream sample in the sterile container we provide is best.
  • Wear a loose-sleeved top so the blood sample can be collected easily.

Understanding your package report

Your report lists the result of each test separately, with its own unit and reference range. Values outside the range are highlighted.

There is no single overall "health score" - each result is read on its own and then together with the others. One out-of-range value is not a diagnosis, and a normal report does not guarantee you are completely healthy.

Share the report with your doctor, who will interpret it with your symptoms and history. Call us if you need help reading it.

Frequently asked questions

How is chikungunya different from dengue?

Chikungunya typically causes sudden high fever with severe, often disabling joint pain and swelling, while dengue causes more severe body and eye pain and falling platelets. Tests tell them apart.

Can joint pain persist after chikungunya?

Yes, joint pain can last weeks or months in some people. Your doctor can advise on pain relief and when to test for other joint conditions.

Should I fast?

Eight to ten hours is ideal for the organ tests, but do not delay if you are unwell.
